The Garway Heritage Group (GHG) was created following the success of the Lottery Heritage Initiative funded archaeological investigation into the iron age enclosure on Garway Hill in 2007 and the subsequent publication of the book “Garway Hill through the Ages” in 2007.

The aim of the Group is to promote interest in local heritage including the area’s history, crafts and traditions as well as its natural and physical environment and to make its work available to others who may share its interests. Constitution available.

  • Holds monthly meetings with speakers on heritage related topics and/or on activities undertaken.
  • Holds guided walks/visits with heritage interest.

  • Offers other activities in which to participate.

The GHG is run by a committee whose members are subject to election at each annual AGM in April. The current Committee members are:
